Getting Started
Place a window in three quick steps.
1Open the FastTile panel
Click the FastTile icon in the menu bar, or use your keyboard shortcut.
Good to know
- To set or change the shortcut, open FastTile Settings and record a new one under FastTile Hotkey.
- To hide the panel, press Esc or click the close button in the upper-left corner.
2Choose a window
When the panel opens, FastTile automatically targets the frontmost window, so you usually don't need to choose one first. To switch targets, click another window. The panel updates automatically.
3Drag to select tiles
Drag across the grid to select where you want the window to appear. FastTile moves and resizes the window to match your selection.
TipFine-tune the grid
Adjust the number of rows and columns whenever you need more precise control over window size and placement.
Using FastTile with multiple displays
FastTile shows a panel on each connected display. All panels stay in sync and work with the same target window.
Choose a window across displays
Click the window you want to work with. Every FastTile panel updates to show the same target window.
Move a window to another display
On the display where you want the window to appear, drag across that display's grid. FastTile moves and resizes the window on that display.
